We all want to read more books. But our busy schedules make this harder than it should be.
Reading one book a month seems like a monumental task. But if you change your approach to reading, it’s not so hard. At the Digital Creatives Club, we help you figure out the approach that works best for you.
We all learn at different paces and in different ways. That’s why we take a fun and flexible approach to reading.
Reading’s biggest myth
…is that you need to read every page.
You don’t! Only pick and choose chapters relevant to you. Then make notes and take your time.
Or skip and skim through the dull chapters.
This isn’t your old English class. We won’t force you to read the whole book.
And no matter how many pages you read, you will still benefit from the other two pillars of the Digital Creatives Club.
The three pillars
Is it a book club? Is it a book subscription? Or is it a networking event?
Well, it’s all of the above and more! You pay a subscription fee each month which gives you access to three things…
1. The book
A hand-picked, non-fiction book
based on the input of 50 thought leaders and digital creatives. Delivered to your address each month.
2. The meetup
A monthly networking event at Impact Brixton, Zone 2. Talks from thought leaders, discussions about the book, and how we can apply it to our daily lives.
3. The website
Exclusive content for members based on each month’s book. Interviews, summaries, tips on reading, and more. Online and accessible from anywhere.
1. The book
Every month you receive a brand-new book, the same as all the other members.
You get around 4 weeks to read the book and at the end of the month, there’s an in-person event that you can go to.
You’ve read the book already? But did you take notes, digest the book, talk to peers about it, and apply it to your day-to-day role. If not, then you can still get more from the book.
- Our aim at Digital Creatives Club is to give you so much value that the book is just the starting point.
- And for members who have the book already, we offer a discount off your next month for the cost of
this month’s book.
We’re working with Brixton-based youth organisation, Spiral. Our aim is to create a community library for young people in Lambeth, where they have free access to the books we’ve read. And the founders of Digital Creatives Club will be putting on quarterly talks for young people in South London, to equip them with skills to become tomorrow’s digital creatives.
2. The meetup
Located at Impact Brixton, a two-mins walk from Brixton tube station. Our monthly event has guest speakers and content will be geared towards you and how you can apply each book to your situation.
Had a busy month and didn’t read the book? That’s fine. The event will still be relevant for people who didn’t finish.
And say goodbye to awkward networking! Our events foster engagement and because it’s a room of like-minded creatives, you’ll fit right in.
3. The website
Once you’ve finished a book, a whole range of unique content will be available to members on our website.
A detailed breakdown of the book, videos from our meetups, and snippets from fellow members talking about the book.
One future aim is to have unique content from the authors, or industry experts, for each book available on the website.
And your membership access will contain advice on how to get the most out of a book. Tips on how to read and digest content and apply it to your daily life.

What’s in it for you?
How it all began…
A small, internal book club was formed at a web agency in Brixton. It wasn’t long before the idea of an inter-agency book club came up during Friday drinks.
After a few brainstorming sessions and iterations, the Digital Creatives Club was born. With the simple aim of helping people read more books, meet like-minded people, and grow as individuals.
The first members of that book club were a Project Manager, an SEO, and a Company Director. A mixed bunch! But all with the drive to learn and improve.
Even if there’s 5 of us or 500 of us, we’re still going to be reading and learning each month. And we’d love for you to join us.
Digital Creatives Club is launching soon and we have our first event on the 9th of September 2021!
This trial event will be for the first 30 people that sign up and buy tickets on the following Eventbrite link.
